Mary MacSweeney
Since my retirement as an art therapist, my interest in shape and form, both human and animal, continues to dominate my work.
Life drawing in charcoal, and painting in oil and acrylic continues. Nature and natural fibre come together as my encounters with the natural world are expressed in my new medium - ‘painting’ in wool and producing felt artworks.
In my sculpture I love the tactile nature of working in clay and through mould-making, producing casts that can be held in the hand.
My journey continues.
